Albany, Church doors, Maine, photography, photos, Portland, red, Thursday Doors
This door was from a church that seemed to be under reconstruction. We discovered it as we got lost going from Albany into Vermont. Fortunately we had to turn around and go back so I was able to check this out a little bit. If you love door photos like I do, check out out Norm 2.0. This week he features photos from a really lovely Abbey in Quebec.
I ran out of steam looking for interesting doors in Portland. I kind of overdid it this weekend and my migraines got pretty bad again. But I was happy to find this lovely red door to share with you. We definitely want to go back to Portland, Maine to explore more!
The hardware on that first one is wonderful – nice finds 🙂
The red door appears to be wearing a crest!
Beautiful doors! Hard to choose – color gives its own character, eh?
Love the red door, of course, but the metalwork on the first is quite something!

Isn’t it! The whole building was interesting looking, but most particularly the doors. It was on a hill and not super accessible. I’m grateful for my husband for venturing into the drive!
Can’t go wrong with arches but those doors make a statement!
Aren’t doors oddly fascinating? Such variety.
Some very nice doors. I once ended up in Albany after getting lost in western MA. Before doors was a thing and before GPS 😉
GPS has really made exploring our new environment easy, but my husband and I used to enjoy our lost wanderings, too. Thank you for your kind words!
Getting lost isn’t always a bad thing.
