Sorry! Meant to reblog this to my other blog. I’m still figuring out this dual blog world.
I don’t generally post my photography on this blog, but I think I will share my art observations. This Chihuly exhibit at New York Botanical Garden was really wonderful and I recommend it to anyone going to New York City this summer/fall.
Some of my favorite blooms in the NYBG were made of glass at the Dale Chihuly glass studio. Like this one.
Crazy Beautiful.
Looking at the glass as it was reflected and illuminated and ornamented with fauna was glorious. I believe the pictures speak for themselves. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
This is another one of my favorites.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
I love the Chihuly exhibit too. I heard it s great at night. See my post on it at https://port4u.net/2017/05/26/chihuly-squares/
I loved your post. I really would love to see it at night. We plan to come back in the fall to see it again, maybe we will stay until after dark then (it won’t be quite so late).
Check the NYBG site for when they have the evening events ๐
awesome !!! I wish I could put some of that chihuly in my garden !!!
They did have his work available for purchase in the gift shop. It is yours for about +$5,000. ๐
It’s not cheap but a good investment, artwork usually goes up in price once the artist dies and all his works are unique. I’ll start saving !!! ๐
I would be too afraid to break it, but it would totally be worth investing in!
I totally agree ! But it is a pleasure to look at these sculptures !!!
