I don’t remember which state this adorable little church was in, but it was on the drive to or from Delaware. I believe it is in New Jersey. It is the First Baptist Church of Hopewell.

I love that we can see all the way through the church from this angle. The symmetry of this little church was delightful to me. The cemetery was also picturesque.

On the way home from Delaware we went along the river road on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River we stopped at the Stover Mill Gallery. My favorite landscape was framed by a door.

You would really need to watch your step from this one! We first encountered this lovely drive last summer when we went to Tinicum Arts Festival to meet Claudia McGill. The festival is going on next weekend and I hope to see Claudia once again (weather and health permitting).

Here is the inspiring location for the 27th Certified Zentangle® Teacher training seminar that I attended last week. Tomorrow I plan to have a Thursday Doors post and a post all about the wonderful seminar and the art I created while there. In the meantime, here is the class photo.

You can also see the gorgeous ballroom at the Providence Biltmore. I have quite a few photos of the hotel, our views from the hotel, and the neighborhoods near the hotel. It really is a lovely city.

These are the views from my lovely suite that I shared with an artist named Donna from Montana and some of the views are from the hotel’s banquet dining room. We had some lovely foggy/raining days that were perfect for arting inside.

Here are some views from the inside of the hotel. I thought about saving the letter box “door” for a solo spot on the Thursday Doors post, but I have too many interesting doors that I collected on this trip! So I will share a few today and the rest tomorrow. There may be some redundancy in the posts, but when interesting architecture is the subject can a view be seen too many times?

I love the “wicked awesome” light fixture at the bottom of the mosaic. Also, you can see some public art that is painted on the fences around the plaza. It was really hard to photograph, but so cool to see as you walked past it! There are gondolieri, bridges, and tulips adorning the river. This is going to serve as another Which Way Challenge post for Cee. At the corner of Benefit and Benevolent Streets is the Unitarian Church with it’s beautiful magnolia tree. The very first Baptist church in this country is also featured above. That is all for today. I’m still pretty worn out from a very full week, last week.

I hope you have a beautiful day.

Here is a tour of the outside of the Presbyterian Church of Morristown, NJ. It is one of our most beautiful churches and it is right on the Green in the center of town. This makes it a little challenging to photograph. The doors on this church aren’t particularly fantastic, but the stonework of the building and the arches on the doors are so lovely to me. I hope you enjoy my selections.

I hope to go inside it one of these days. One of the things I really love about it is this chapel that is beautiful all on its own.

Here is the next stop on our tour of Morristown’s interesting doors. This is the Parish House of the Presbyterian Church and it is undergoing some construction so I only have a few pictures. In a few more weeks we will have the doors of the Sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church.

Some more doors from my new hometown. This church, Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church, is across the street from the library I featured last week. In fact, you can see the library in the background of the sign.

This church has quite a few lovely doors and archways. I would like to go to a service here one of these days. The stained glass windows and organ are supposed to be amazing, too.

There are a number of interesting paths in the above montage, but my favorite is the one below. This gateway is so inviting and I think it would make a lovely entry for Cee’s Which Way Challenge.
