Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. It is hosted by Norm 2.0.
I hope you enjoy my Thursday Doors post from the Cherry Blossom Festival last weekend. We drove past this church on the way to the park and I had to come get some door pictures. It is really a lovely old building.
These are photos from the shady side of the Cathedral. This is the side I approached the church on and it was a lovely introduction to the architecture. I loved the lines of the side door and its archways.
Then I came around to the front and the amount of detail blew me away. You may have noticed that I like fancy things. Especially when flowers are part of it and these cherry trees were the icing on this fancy scene.
Here are some close up shots of the 3 sets of front doors and a few of the front as a whole. It was such a beautiful day to be taking photographs!
The sunny side of the church had some more cherry trees and this lovely “basement” door. It was tucked away from street view, but I thought it was beautiful, too.
