I have a new favorite restaurant in New Jersey! This is South+Pine in Morristown and its not just because the interior wall is lined with layers of doors and is fabulous. Also, the chef is awesome. I have so many limitations on what I can eat, but the staff was so willing to work with me and provided me with a delicious meal that did not cause me any pain at all. That hasn’t happened in a very long time. So if you are looking for a place to eat in Morris County, stop by South+Pine. If you are looking for more interesting door photos check out Norm 2.0 for photos of doors from around the world.

I hope you will check out my latest mandala. I’m having problems with my WordPress account across platforms and apologize for what appears to be a failure to participate.

On Saturday my husband and I were able to go into New York City to play. We decided to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I will be posting photos from that trip over the next few days. They currently have an exhibit called Public Parks, Private gardens: Paris to Provence that includes some Van Gogh paintings I was not familiar with and this one is my new favorite.
Reproductions don’t do his works justice. The colors and textures of the original are breathtaking. If you get a chance to see one in a museum it is worth the price of admission.

inI like worn out old doors. Here are some barn doors that I found in my exploration of the Great Swamp of New Jersey. I bet you didn’t know we had a great swamp. It is prettier than the name suggests. I will definitely be going back.
To see more pictures of interesting doors check out Norm 2.0. I hope you find some beauty in your day.

The tulips in this top picture look almost like peonies and this is one of the last tulip beds to finish blooming this spring.
This spring I took short walks most days in the Arboretum and followed the progress of the tulips as I progressed in healing after surgery. It has taken me a while to post these (or much of anything).
Promise of blooms to come!
An early bloom.
Tulips and daffodils
Promised blooms.
I’m including selections from different flower beds. The Frelinghuysen Arboretum was participating in a special year for tulips and they had extra beds and a lovely variety. I’m including photos from different days and different times of day.
A purple and orange bed with daffodils.
Another purple and orange bed.
The walkway with the crazy tulips in the very first picture in this post and a close up of yet another purple and orange flowerbed. I love combinations of secondary colors and these beds of tulips really made my day on so many days! For more flower photos check out Cee’s Flower of the Day.
I hope you have some beauty in your day.
